Trần Lê Minh Trí was born in Madison, WI and spent his early childhood in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studied Film and Fine Arts with a focus in Photography and Illustration.
His work is a reflection of his experience and connection with communities and cultures. He strives to examine themes of identity, interconnectedness, and the human experience all in an effort to promote empathy, kindness, and humanity.
He likes horror movies and the smell of old books.
